Just a nice, simple ham. What can you sometimes feel like it! Some honey, mustard and a good swig of whiskey over it and hop into the oven. This has earned the ham. And now we go to sit down and do nothing. Although, I turn it occasionally cozy around in all those tasty juices so that succulent braised shank remains tender. Simple right? We ate this juicy and flavorful ham laces with chicory gratin dish but you can endlessly vary here. How about hot ham slices in a hot and cold buffet for example New Year's Eve? Or some ham slices on a nice fresh white dot. Of the remaining ham cut into cubes and process in a delicious creamy pasta oven. Or is there maybe some sauerkraut stew and give ... or .... well, I love all of it! You get my point.
Preparation Remove the ham over half an hour in advance from the refrigerator and let come to room temperature. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Place the ham in a baking dish and coat it with honey and mustard.
Turn the knuckle of ham around a few times so that everything is covered with a layer of sauce. Turn the oven temperature down to 175 degrees. Cover the baking dish with a lid or aluminum storage furniture foil and put the ham in the oven. Keep the cooking time which is on the packaging of the ham. Usually charge about 10 minutes per 100 grams. Baste the ham occasionally with the delightful moisture and speak to love him. Now believe me, you can taste it back!
Remove the ham from the oven, cover it with aluminum foil and let it rest for 15 minutes. Then cut it with a sharp knife in nice thin slices and pour some of that heavenly whiskey sauce over or serve the sauce separately.

Hi Anne, I'm a ham laces made according to your recipe, but why is my black sauce in the dish? I placed the bowl in the middle of the oven, that might be the reason? I have not a nice sauce with it.
